Mango fruit is an excellent source of beta carotene B vitamins, Vitamin C and potassium. If you want to sprout a mongo seed than make it clear in your mind that mangos are not really difficult to sprout. But, it can take about a month or more to sprout. Here are some tips on how to sprout a mango seed.

How to sprout a mongo seed

  • Take a very ripe mango and scrape off the extra fruit from the stone in the middle of the mango, which holds the seed.
  • Remove the slipperiness of the stone by washing it in warm water.
  • Rub the mango stone lightly by using sandpaper.
  • Now, take a water filled bowl and put the stone in to it.
  • Keep the bowl in a warm place for 2 weeks. Do not forget to change the water on a daily basis.
  • If you notice that stone is sprouting, before 2 weeks then take it out of the water and pot it Or wait for 2 weeks.
  • Take a pot, fill it with multipurpose compost and water it well.
  • Plant the stone about 3cm deep in the compost and water it again.
  • Put the pot in a warm place.
  • If the compost looks dry at any time, give it a little water.
  • Wait for several weeks.
