How to care for plants

There are many people around the world those who worry a lot when it comes to caring for their plants. There is no need to worry, if you want to care your house plants. Here are some tips on how to care for plants at home:

- Use a watering can for watering your plants, try to use a can with a narrow spout in order to ensure adequate watering. Firstly, make sure that whether your plant really needs water or not this can be done by a finger test. Insert your index finger up to the first joint into the soil. If you feel that the soil is damp, don't water it.

- Your plants also need nutrition for their proper growth. Foliage plants need - high nitrogen. On the other hand for flowering plants K2O is needed. Fertilizers such as the slow release ones can be mixed with the compost. Feed your plants on the height of their active growth.

What about lightening for Plants?

Plants like:
Sanseveria and aspidistra - No shade.

Spider plants - Semi-shade. Place these types of palnt near a window that does or does not get sunlight.

Others need sun or no sun at all like cheese plants.


- Humid environment is good for your plant. Here is an idea for you in order to give your plant adequate moisture

Put the pot inside a larger pot and fill in the gaps with stones or compost to keep in the moisture. The compost will not dry out. Plants are capable of creating their own climate if grouped together. This tip can also be used for keeping the soil moist. If you want, you can spray them with water once or twice a day depending on the day's temperature.
